Resume Keywords Pakistani Recruiters Actually Search

Keyword stuffing fails. Matching real search terms from job posts and HR filters gets you seen on local portals.

Where keywords come from

Copy phrases from the exact job post: title, required skills, and tools. Pakistani HR teams often paste the same text into portal filters.

Look at five similar ads on Rozee for the same role. Repeated terms like Tally, SEO, branch banking, or Laravel are your target list.

Use both spelled-out terms and abbreviations where natural: Customer Relationship Management (CRM) once, then CRM in bullets.

Industry-specific terms

Banking: AML, KYC, CBS, trade finance, recovery, branch operations.

IT: stack names, cloud providers, CI/CD, Agile, ticket volumes if support.

Marketing: performance ads, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, brand activations common in Lahore agencies.

Supply chain: SAP MM, warehouse management, last-mile, FMCG distributors.

Location and level

Include city names if you target one market: "Sales officer Lahore" or "procurement Karachi."

Seniority words matter: officer, manager, head, lead, trainee. Misaligned titles get filtered out.

Industry nouns help: telecom, pharmaceutical, textile, NGO, public sector.

Natural placement

Work keywords into achievement bullets, not a dense block at the bottom labeled "Keywords."

Summary section can hold two or three role-specific terms in a full sentence.

Update keywords every time you tailor for a new posting. One master CV without changes underperforms on portals.
