How to Find Resume Keywords in Pakistani Job Advertisements

Avoid keyword stuffing. Use relevant terms from the job post where they truthfully describe your experience, without promising portal ranking.

Where keywords come from

Take factual phrases from the exact job post: title, required skills, and tools. Use them only where they truthfully describe your experience.

Look at five similar ads on Rozee for the same role. Repeated terms like Tally, SEO, branch banking, or Laravel are your target list.

Use both spelled-out terms and abbreviations where natural: Customer Relationship Management (CRM) once, then CRM in bullets.

Industry-specific terms

Banking: AML, KYC, CBS, trade finance, recovery, branch operations.

IT: stack names, cloud providers, CI/CD, Agile, ticket volumes if support.

Marketing: performance ads, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, brand activations common in Lahore agencies.

Supply chain: SAP MM, warehouse management, last-mile, FMCG distributors.

Location and level

Include city names if you target one market: "Sales officer Lahore" or "procurement Karachi."

Use accurate seniority terms such as officer, manager, head, lead, or trainee. Do not retitle yourself merely to imitate an advertisement.

Industry nouns help: telecom, pharmaceutical, textile, NGO, public sector.

Natural placement

Work keywords into achievement bullets, not a dense block at the bottom labeled "Keywords."

Summary section can hold two or three role-specific terms in a full sentence.

Review wording for each priority posting. Tailoring improves relevance, but no keyword list guarantees ranking or an interview.

Keyword checklist

Before you finalize the wording:

  • Pull the exact skills and tools from the post you are answering.
  • Compare five similar ads and note the repeated terms.
  • Use the spelled-out term once, then the abbreviation.
  • Work keywords into achievement bullets, not a keyword block.
