Fresh Graduate Resume With No Work Experience

No internship yet? You can still build a one-page CV that Pakistani employers will read if you focus on projects, skills, and education.

Lead with education and projects

Put your degree, university, and graduation year at the top if you have no full-time jobs. Include CGPA if it is 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale, or percentage if that is standard at your university.

Final year projects, FYP, and course assignments count as experience when you describe what you built and what tools you used.

Competitions, hackathons, and society roles show initiative. One line each with a result: "Organized career fair with 12 companies" beats a vague "event management."

Skills employers can test

List programming languages, design tools, or Excel skills you can demo. Pakistani startups and IT firms often give a short test task.

English proficiency matters for client-facing and multinational roles. Mention IELTS or strong academic English grades if you have them.

Avoid soft skill lists with no proof. Instead of only writing "team player," cite group projects or volunteer work with outcomes.

Internships and volunteer work

Even a two-month unpaid internship at a local shop's accounts desk is worth listing with tasks and tools.

Volunteer work at NGOs, mosques, schools, or flood relief shows reliability. Pakistani HR teams respect community involvement.

If you did gig work on Fiverr or local Facebook groups, frame it as freelance with client types and deliverables, not as hobbies.

What to leave out

Skip school achievements from matric unless you are still in your first year of university. Space is tight on one page.

Do not use a template with a huge photo and graphics. Many campus placement cells now ask for plain ATS-friendly files.

Never lie about experience. Training periods and family businesses get clarified in the first interview round.
